Employment of respiratory therapists is projected to grow 23%, much faster than the average for all occupations. There is currently a significant shortage of Respiratory Therapists throughout the hospitals of Morton Plant Mease. Our hospitals are looking to strengthen the partnership with St. Petersburg College to enhance enrollment. This grant will provide tuition reimbursement for graduates while funding one clinical instructor with a focus exclusively on overseeing and coordinating the oversight of Respiratory Therapist students.
