Nurses Giving Society

Giving back to pay it forward. This concept captures the essence of Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation’s Nurses Giving Society.

The Nurses Giving Society exists to unite compassionate individuals who are dedicated to advancing the nursing profession and improving patient care through philanthropy. Our purpose is to empower nurses in giving back – rooted in the long-standing tradition of compassion, expertise, and dedication to patient care. The Nurses Giving Society seeks to contribute tangible support for the education and advancement of past, current, and future nurses.

Donors who give $500 annually are recognized at the Sally Bailey Education Center and on the digital donor walls at the hospitals of Morton Plant Mease.

Nurses Giving Society Founding Member

"I was very fortunate to have been involved with the formation of the Nurses Giving Society. As a longtime advocate for nurses, I saw how this society would help support the numerous nursing excellence programs the Foundation began funding many years ago. Nurses helping nurses just seems the right thing to do! I have always hoped our nurses, especially those who have had their nursing education paid for and those who have received scholarships, would feel the urge to “pay it forward”. This society provides an opportunity for them to do so. The funds raised by the annual membership dues are used to supplement grants to support programs that contribute to better health care outcomes for the patients in our community hospitals."

For more than 45 years, Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation has provided philanthropic support to the not-for-profit hospitals of Morton Plant Mease Health Care, including Morton Plant, Clearwater; Mease Dunedin; Mease Countryside, Safety Harbor and Morton Plant North Bay, New Port Richey. The close connection between the hospitals of Morton Plant Mease and their neighbors reveal a unique spirit of giving – a relationship characterized by people caring for the hospitals that care for them.

Donor information is kept strictly confidential. We will not share or sell a donor’s personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations without written consent from the donor.
