About Planters Fall Luncheon

On Monday, October 2, 2023, Planters of Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation will host their Fall Luncheon, featuring special guest speaker Kelly Corrigan and the presentation of the Lois Odence Nursing Scholarship Recipients.

Proceeds from the event support the scholarship program, which was created in 2001. Since its inception, nearly $400,000 has been awarded to 179 nursing students, helping to alleviate the financial pressures of working and attending nursing school.

About Kelly Corrigan

Kelly Corrigan hit public consciousness in a series of 3 events in 2009: an appearance on The Today Show with her father after they had both recovered from chemotherapy, an online video about women’s friendship called Transcending that was viewed 5 million times in 3 days, and the release of her first New York Times bestseller, The Middle Place.

Since then, Kelly has written 3 more New York Times bestsellers, appeared on the Today Show 7 times and been picked up by PBS as the host of Tell Me More with Kelly Corrigan, a weekly interview show.
