2023 Philanthropy Report

The 2023 Philanthropy Report reflects on a historic year that included granting the not-for-profit hospitals of Morton Plant Mease more than $9.5 million!

We hope you will enjoy learning about how your philanthropy helped fund innovative technology and programs at our hospitals, including helping upgrade the cardiac catheterization labs at the Morgan Heart Hospital at Morton Plant with next-generation technology, funding the latest in minimally invasive robotic surgery at Mease Dunedin Hospital with the hospital’s first da Vinci® Xi Surgical System, granting an advanced high-definition video strobe at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital to better evaluate vocal cord movement and assess for laryngeal abnormalities and funding the Ion Robotic Endoluminal System at Mease Countryside Hospital for minimally invasive lung biopsy.

2022 Circle Newsletter

Despite a historically challenging economic environment, in 2022, the Foundation will be granting the not-for-profit hospitals of Morton Plant Mease more than $16.3 million – which is significantly the most we have ever granted the hospitals in our history. What a testament to a grateful community in giving back and caring for the hospitals that have been caring for us all.

Our future is an outcome of the investment we make today. From their earliest days, the hospitals of Morton Plant Mease have been an invaluable resource for the community. Thank you for playing a role in furthering that important legacy. Not only have you impacted countless lives, but you’ve also helped position our hospitals to lead boldly into the future. Our Foundation’s rich history is built for the community and by the community, and our road map to where we are today is extraordinary. As we move forward, our legacy continues.

Transforming Health Care Through Philanthropy

For more than 45 years, Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation has provided philanthropic support to the not-for-profit hospitals of Morton Plant Mease Health Care, including Morton Plant, Clearwater; Mease Dunedin; Mease Countryside, Safety Harbor and Morton Plant North Bay, New Port Richey. The close connection between the hospitals of Morton Plant Mease and their neighbors reveal a unique spirit of giving – a relationship characterized by people caring for the hospitals that care for them.

Donor information is kept strictly confidential. We will not share or sell a donor’s personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations without written consent from the donor.
