Morton Plant Mease Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit entity, provides philanthropic support to the hospitals of Morton Plant Mease Health Care. Toast to Life - "A Toast to the Big Easy" - will benefit Mease Countryside and Mease Dunedin Hospitals.
Mease Countryside Hospital, founded in 1986 is a 300-bed facility nationally recognized as a top 100 Hospital in the areas of stroke, orthopaedics, intensive care and overall care by the Solucient 100 Top Hospitals. It's also the fastest-growing hospital in Pinellas County, and given the young, vibrant area it serves, that's just the way it should be. With a recent $99 million expansion that includes more operating rooms, a new women's and children's center, pediatric units, neonatal intensive care units and more inpatient beds - Mease Countryside will continue to deliver an exceptional level of care.
Established in 1937 by the community, Mease Dunedin Hospital is a 143-bed facility providing quality medical and surgical care in neurosurgery, orthopaedics, oncology, stroke, cardiology, imaging, emergency medicine and intensive care. The hospital is currently in a campaign that will encompass more than 51,000 square feet of renovation, 4,000 square feet of new construction and will emphasize expanding the operating rooms and creating a new intensive care unit for patients requiring critical care.
