Caring for Our Community total raised:  $372,485
% of forms returned: 77%

Morton Plant Mease has come to the conclusion of the 2008 Caring for Our Community Campaign and it has been a record-breaking year. Caring for our Community is an annual campaign where the hospital's team members, volunteers and medical staff have the opportunity to support the Family Care Fund, United Way of Tampa Bay and/or the Morton Plant Mease Foundation.

Thanks to our team members, the Everyday Heroes, we have surpassed our goal of $350,000 by raising a grand total of $372,485 for our hospitals, team members and our community. Congratulations to all team members who were able to contribute to this year's campaign.

Included in this total was a $15,000 gift from Morton Plant Caring Partners, $10,000 gift from Auxiliary of Mease Health Care and a $14,500 combined contribution from the Morton Plant, Mease and Morton Plant North Bay medical executive committees.

With the Family Care Fund Match, so generously created by members of the Senior Management Team, we will topple the previous Caring for Our Community goal by having raised over $500,000 in gifts.

In addition to surpassing our monetary goal, this year we also saw the highest number of team members returning their forms (77%) and the most amount of you donating to the campaign (54%).

Over the past decade, the team members of Morton Plant Mease have contributed more than $2 million, recognizing them collectively as Benefactors to the Foundation. Our Benefactors are a remarkable group of philanthropists that have contributed $1 million or more cumulatively over their lifetime to ensure that quality health care is available in our community.

"I can't express how proud I am to work with such a generous number of people. It has been a tremendous honor representing the Morton Plant Mease team members in this worthwhile campaign. In today's economic times, your accomplishment in exceeding our goal speaks loud and clear about our values and your desire to make a difference. Thank you for making this a very successful Caring for Our Community Campaign. We ARE Morton Plant Mease!"
